Cinema Museum
This museum is considered to be one of the main attractions of Turin not only for its displays and expositions, but also due to its location within the “Mole Antonelliana”, a unique landmark and symbol of the city.
Inside the Mole itself you can take a panoramic elevator to enjoy from its top a spectacular view of both the city and the Alps, recognizing places that you might have already visited as part of a tour of Turin.
The museum is decorated in a modern art style and houses exhibits ranging from the systems precursor of the actual cinema up to modern productions, with a special focus on Italian productions and historical milestones of the 7th art.
It is not by chance that this museum is located in Turin; Turin was one of the first cities where a fully-fledged cinema industry developed with over 20 studios at the beginning of the 20th century.
And this passion continues; not far from Turin is still located a “City of cinema”...
